About
About RentWise
RentWise is a simple rent ledger for landlords who own between one and ten units and collect rent by Zelle, check or cash.
It does three jobs and tries to do them well. It shows who has paid this month, it keeps your receipts and expenses in one place, and it reminds you before lease, deposit and inspection deadlines.
Who it is for
Most landlord software asks you to link your bank account or to move every tenant onto a payment portal. That is a good fit for some owners. RentWise is for the others: the ones who would rather keep their bank to themselves and their tenants out of yet another login. You log each payment yourself, and your data stays easy to export.
Who builds it
RentWise is built by hvqo, an independent developer, and it is deliberately small. There is no tenant portal, no screening and no subscription. You pay once. If something is missing or confusing, tell me through the contact page. Early users shape what gets built next.
What RentWise is not
RentWise is organizational software. It is not legal or tax advice, and it does not know the rules in your state. The deadlines are the ones you enter, so check them against your lease and local law. See the pricing to find out what the free plan and the lifetime plan include.
